Tatts Cox Plate – Race 8 – The Tatts Cox Plate is arguably the best weight for age race in the world. The Cox Plate is run each year at Moonee Valley and is specifically for horses 3 and over. We have reviewed the race and believe it is wide open and any horse can potentially win the Cox Plate. We prefer Rekindled Interest for the fact that it is a quality runner and its recent track work in blowing away Jimmy Choux will make it hard to beat. The others we believe will make a serious threat tomorrow will be Helmet, Kings Rose, Jimmy Choux and Pinker Pinker. An outsider that we like in the wet though is Wall Street, it loves the wet tracks and cant be dismissed.

The Manikato Stakes is one of the best races at Moonee Valley. The champion colt Sepoy is headlining the event and will be locking horns also with one of Australia’s best mares in More Joyous. The barrier draw should not effect this race much at all with More Joyous drawing barrier no.4 and Sepoy racing from barrier no.1. The race also has other stars in group 1 winner Atomic Force, Happy Zero and Buffering. It is near on impossible to see these horses even challenging Sepoy and More Joyous.
